We Demand for a Refund!!

My friends and I started falling in line for the Paramore show at 12 NN to make sure we have the best view during the show. After all, we already paid 10,000 pesos for our tickets. We didn't want to take a chance. One bouncer allowed us to go around the venue, and we were very happy to see the VIP area that could fit around 100-200 people really near the stage. "It was worth it!" - or so we thought.

At around 6 PM, they finally let us in. We were among the first ones to enter because we were the first ones to fall in line in the VIP section of the venue. We ran towards the stage, and got confused because the VIP area previously located in front of the stage was now gone. It was just one big area that could fit thousands of people. Then we started hearing people saying "How come we are in the VIP area?" THEY GOT THE VIP AND GOLD SECTION MIXED UP. In short, the people who paid 10,000 pesos and people who paid 3,950 for their tickets were located in the SAME AREA. Some of the VIP ticket holders were even behind the Gold ticket holders. In short, we paid roughly 6,000 pesos more for practically nothing. We felt robbed.

So, we started making phonecalls. We called Royd Tan, the one who sold us the tickets. However, he said that he can't do anything about this situation and gave us someone's cellphone number. We tried calling the number but her cellphone was turned off. Then we called Charlamagne Lim, the producer of Little Asia. We were asking why this mix up happened and we demanded for a refund. According to Charlamagne, the management of Paramore decided to change the seatplan last minute for "safety reasons," and they couldn't do anything about it. They moved the VIP section to the back of the Gold section.

He had many suggestions:

1. Move to the VIP section behind the gold section
2. Ask for more security for the VIP/gold area
3. Get "free" autographed posters from Paramore
4. Give us a meet-and-greet for the next concert he is going to handle.

Well firstly,we obviously do not want to move to the new VIP section that is behind the gold section. We bought the VIP tickets not because of added security, but because it is closest to the stage. Second, we do not want autographed posters of Paramore in exchange of the 6,000 pesos we shelled out. I told him that I could just get that on e-bay. The essence of getting an autograph after all, is the fact that YOU were the one who was able to get the autograph. And last, we don't want to meet and greet some random band we might not even like.

This is the official statement of Charlamagne Lim:

"First of all, I wanna apologize for what happened last night. We didn't want that to happen, the Paramore management and security decided a few hours before the show started to move the VIP section further back for the safety of the band and for their security reasons. We were against it and we didn't agree, but they told us that the show won't push thru if we won't listen to them. We had no choice but to comply. I know you guys want a refund, so we talked to their management again, unfortunately they didn't agree as we expected. What can we do is to compensate all our VIP buyers only.

We made a deal with Paramore's management and they will give all our VIP buyers an Official Paramore autographed picture and it will be personalized. It will arrive end of this week or next week, because it will come from the USA and they will just ship it here. Also, we will give you the Official Paramore Concert T-shirt in the Philippines. the shirt was never on sale but was used during the concert last night, so the people who will have this are all VIP Buyers only and that's YOU!

Wear it with pride :) to my customers, pls txt me the names of your autographed pictures and sizes of your shirts. Pls. include the gender because it will be a baby tee for the girls and shirts for the guys. To my good friend Royd's customers, pls contact him directly and I'm gonna talk with him with all the VIP tickets that he sold. I will make sure that all his customers will get them.

Again, we want to apologize for what happened, we are so sorry and humiliated for what happened. Hope you understand what happened last night was beyond our control and jurisdiction, last night was a LESSON on our part. We will make sure that it will never happen again. We will include that on our contract next time.
Pls. forward this message to all the VIP buyers only. Hoping for your understanding and kind consideration."

I'm sorry but I'm not about to agree that my 6,000 pesos will go to an autographed picture and a t-shirt. Let's get real, folks. 6,000 pesos is a LOT especially for a student like me. I will not be wearing that T-shirt with pride, because IF I agree to this and wear this t-shirt, I will be constantly reminded of the 6,000 pesos that was practically stolen from me. And oh, if it really was out of your control, then how can you ensure the future audience of your productions that it won't happen again? There were internal problems and we were the ones who suffered. We demand for a refund!!

P.S. VIP ticket holders, please post your experience on the comment section!!

EDIT: There have been requests for bloggers to close down their blogs regarding this VIP/Gold ticket mix-up. According to them, if we don't close our blogs, Paramore's management might get angry at the local promoters and Paramore may never come back to the Philippines again. I don't believe this at all. Paramore saw how many fans went to their show here! They can always come back tied with a different organizer. Instead of asking us to shut up, why don't you deal with this situation better. We're merely voicing out and sharing what we experienced. We're NOT doing anything wrong.

  1. TRUE. I'm asking for more compensation. If complete refund is not the solution. Then even a part of the 6k would at least answer the problem. I don't believe that autographed CD's + t-shirts are ENOUGH. REALLY. Who are they shitting?

  2. i didnt bought the ticket myself, it was given to me, but i feel the pity, i was so freakin excited to be UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL with my fave band and then boom i was 20feet away from them.

  3. Why note sue the Management for moral damages?

  4. I also experienced the same thing. Pinauna nga nila papasukin ang VIP "para makapunta sa pinakaharap" but the security and the proper placing of the ticket holders were not followed. I was with some friends who had gold tickets. Nauna pa silang makapunta sa harap. I was so surprised to see them just beside me. They were joking and teasing me about buying a VIP ticket na in the end, magkakatabi rin pala kami. Of course I didn't show them that I was so pissed. I tried to talk to a bouncer but he said that the "foreigners" wanted that kind of arrangement. He pointed me that the VIP section was moved towards the middle and I was like "Sigurado ka kuya? Bakit napalayo?".

With that scenario, and being a woman, I didn't bother to fight for what I believe should be done because I was already exhausted at that time. Am really glad that we are now all aware of this. I already forgot who the seller of my ticket was. Sana naman enough proof na to still have the ticket with you na you're a VIP ticket holder. Sana maaksyunan ito agad.

  9. I'm with the starter of this blog.
and yes we waited that long and paid that much. i was the last one from our group to enter the vip entrance (kasi mabagal yun girl mag check!), pang-5 ako na pumasok sa vip entrance pero nagulat ako nun pag pasok ko andami na tao sa unahan, more than 20 na at nagtatakbuhan pa yun iba from the gold entrance! buti nalang tinawag ako nun friend ko or else baka napunta din ako sa likod! and guess what? mga katabi ko nakagold, mga nasa likod ko naka gold. magkano nga ba ang gold? 3950! at magkano binayad namin 10,000! is that fair? i'm not dying to have an autographed pic or cd or tees (unless ako mismo yun nagpasign!), i can get those for less than 6k! REFUND!!!

  10. We also bought 2 VIP tix in the hopes that we were gonna be UP CLOSE!! The whole point in spending that much more! Also there were more than just 250 VIPs there! Maybe at least 400-500. Note that at 250 x 6000 (difference) = P 1.5M and at 500 x 6000 = 3 MILLION Bucks paid for nothing...Not to even mention our crushed expectations. That's like some Gov't fund-raising crap! Something must be done! It's not fair...Maybe a meet & greet with Paramore would've been worth it, but how's that even gonna happen? In the meantime, REFUND! REFUND!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah i also think thats the reason why they're reluctant to refund. If they refund one, they'll be refunding all. and if per ticket its 10k, say x200, it will be a loss of 2M or more. But yeah, its not fair. I feel really crappy about this whole thing. Refund!!! (http://wfs.tumblr.com for my whole rant)

  12. Just posted the links to your blogs.

The nerve pa to ask us to close down our blogs! We're merely telling people about our experience and asking for justice, and they're threatening us with "Paramore may not come back to Manila if you don't close your blogs.."

    wtf.

  13. I hate it. TOO.

I even cried to my dad just for him to buy me a VIP ticket, for me to be in FRONT. But look what happened, I'm super FAR.

And wow! 6,000 pesos Tshirt and Pictures with Autograph? AMAZING. STUPID. ANNOYING. REFUND!

  14. You know what the sad part is, there may have been around at least 800 in the VIP section (area alloted is was for 1000 people) Even if people got complimentary tickets, the sponsors paid a certain amount for them - so even they've been shortchanged! 800 x 6000 = 4.8 MILLION pesos! Someone made a lot of money...

    ReplyDelete
  15. I got a complementary VIP ticket (originally bought a gold ticket because my fund are low but i ended up giving it to another friend). I was also fairly far from the stage, about a few meters in front of the control booth!

HOWEVER, my friends and I pointed out other problems during the concert particularly with the cameras.

This is what happened to us, reposting from my blog:

    ***

I hated the Paramore concert! We were sooo looking forward to it but it was so disappointing! Grrrr!!

    First of all..

Our POINT AND SHOOT cameras weren't allowed!

What the fuck. I didn't have this problem with the last 2 concerts I went to, because I made sure I left the DSLR at home. According to the ushers, our cameras were at 65mm and 72mm respectively hence it couldn't be used. I asked if they had a deposit area and this totally rude usher was telling me that No! We should just leave it in the car.

Then I challenged him by saying, what if I went here by commuting? What do you expect me to do? All he could say was Hindi talaga puwede. Marami nang nagtanong. blahblahblah. As in nagtataasan na kami ng boses. Because to me, Hindi talaga puwede is not a good answer. People paid to watch, so you shouldn't deny them entrance. At least offer them a convenient way to store their stuff.

We decided we weren't gonna win this fight so we stormed all the waaaay to the South Wing building of SM MOA to leave the cameras in the car.

The thing is it wasn't just us. There were other people who arrived at the same time, who also got held up at the entrance because of that!

When we returned all sweaty and majorly pissed from the looong walk to the parking, these other folks were trying to argue with the ushers about their cameras; a lot of them with a helpless tone in their voice because they didn't want to leave their gadgets just anywhere nor walk all the way back like we did. One of them even brought a 35MM and she was told na bawal din daw. 35mm!! I couldn't help but defend her to the usher.

"Miss, kase, dapat nag-announce muna kayo before the concert ng mga bawal. O kaya dapat nag-print kayo sa ticket na bawal ang cameras na 35mm and above para hindi kami ma-hassle nang ganito. Kung wala kaming kotse, anong i-expect mong gawin namin?"

Again she gave the usual bullshit na di talaga puwede.

She even had the nerve to ask me "Ma'am, nakapunta na ba kayo sa mga concerts?"

"OO!" I answered back. "Mula 1996 pa!" (or was it? the first one was Hootie and the Blowfish in Araneta when I was still in grade school).

She tried to calm me down but I was already so pissed. Again tumataas na yung boses ko sa galit. And again, we decided we were not gonna win this argument so I just bellowed, "Ano ba miss, papasukin mo na kami. We already walked all the way back to the parking just to leave our camera!"

Haay, the concert organizers should have foreseen this.

In spite the bad vibes, I just decided to enjoy the show and screamed and sang and took some super low-res, 2 megapixel, video clips!

I guess the best part rin is I'm glad I told off those ushers. If there was one thing I hate, I despise people who try to intimidate you and aren't smart enough to give good options like those ushers who kept saying "Hindi talaga puwede." Concertgoers pay good money to see the bands they like. In my opinion they should have had a secure deposit area for cameras na di puwede.

I texted the promoter (who I got my initial batch of tickets from) and complained to him (while adding some suggestions on how I think they should have gone about the cameras) but still thanked him for putting up a good show. Nag-sorry naman siya because he knew daw about the cam issue.

    Haay.

Worst concert experience of the season so far.

P.S. Another friend of ours got weirded out that the organizers confiscated her ALCOGEL!

  17. FIRST OF ALL: IF IT'S THEIR FAULT, THEY MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. the management, for changing the rules and the positioning of the VIP section VIOLATED an "agreement" aka the transaction between the ticket buyer and those who sold the tickets. WHY? THE PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT THE VIP TICKETS SPENT 10K UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY WILL BE IN FRONT (its even in the floor plan). GOOD PLANNING does not entail moving an ENTIRE section to the management's WHIMS at the LAST minute. they should have done that BEFORE selling the tickets. and besides, paramore has been touring for 5 years...and people have been watching these shows...any paramore fan can attest to the fact that the distance provided between the stage and the vip area IS MORE THAN ENOUGH for security...MASYADO SILANG PRANING ANONG GUSTO NILA YUNG SVIP IS 20 METERS AWAY FROM THE STAGE?! but thats not even the issue. the point is they let GOLD ticket holders in the VIP area...I EVEN SAW YUNG ENTRANCE SA SEASIDE HAD A SIGN "VIP/GOLD" I WAS LIKE WTF BAKET GANON? now we understand that no one wanted what happened PERO NANGYARI NA EH and the compensation and the autographs? theyre good BUT NOT ENOUGH. the management practically DOES NOT LOSE ANYTHING PARANG NAGBIGAY LANG NG MGA EXTRANG GAMIT SA MGA NAAGRABYADO. im not saying na kelangan malugi sila dahil sa nangyari. im saying is that they have to LEARN THE HARD WAY. i've worked for events firms for large crowds before and that is NOT how you manage an event. you need proper COORDINATION, ample TIME for changes in guidelines, and when mistakes like this happen, the burden rests solely on the management. they do not have the right to threaten na hindi ipupush through yung concert kasi NABAYARAN na meron lang silang karapatan gawin yun kung hindi pa nabebenta ang tickets.

SECOND: ang level ng strictness sa venue:

i wont even go to the water bottle thing. that was purely for profit reasons MYGALLY.

non prof camera, signages, backpacks, and whatnot....BAWAL? the restrictions are SO "UP THERE" IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. now while I agree that the management reserves the right to place these restrictions...PWEDE BA KUNG GANYAN KAYO KA STRICT NEXT TIME YOU MAKE "SECURITY" As A REASON FOR MOVING THE VIP SECTION FAR BEHIND sa *EHEM* NABAYARANG HALAGA...(distance = value...do we even have to explain this)....JUST DON'T. clearly you FAIL AT IT. double black eye sa mga bumili ng ticket...pinagbawalan na nga yung camera, nabugbog pa sa moshpit ng libo libong tao na dapat 250 lang (SVIP = call no. 1-250)

THIRD: take down the blogs kase magagalit ang paramore management? THATS TANTAMOUNT TO SAYING "SHUT UP AND GET CONTENTED WITH THIS SMALL PALTRY OF A COMPENSATION FOR OUR CLEARLY HUGE SIN, COZ IF YOU DONT, THEY MIGHT NOT COME HERE AGAIN"....blackmail much? may i remind you guys it wasnt our fault. who's fault is it? OH ITS THE MANAGEMENT'S.

FOURTH: AS THE ONES WHO GOT ROBBED, dear management, we are really trying to understand you. PROMISE MABAIT NA KAMI SA LAGAY NA TO KUNG ALAM NYO LANG KUNG GANO KAMI MAMATAY-MATAY SA HELLHOLE OF A MOSHPIT YOU CREATED BY NOT PLACING BARRICADES BETWEEN GOLD AND VIP. seryoso....we look at it at every angle....every opinion...lahat na...hoping na sana maintindihan namin yung side ninyo...pero wala talaga eh. it's clear. you guys violated something. and we demand a compensation...NOT some sort of candy an adult gives to a kid to stop it from crying.

    Lastly

its just sad that were still at the mercy of these people who caused this ruckus. the consequences were out of your hands yes BUT the CAUSE....YOU CLEARLY HAD CONTROL OVER THE CAUSE OF IT. if only you maintained the previously agreed plan...everything would have turned out ok. paramore believe it or not would have come out unscathed. the bouncers, the railings, the distance would have been enough. but no. you HAD to really change it didnt you *sigh*

For the fans who are putting the blame on Paramore Road Manager Andrew Weiss:

DON'T PUT THE BLAME ON THE PARAMORE MANAGEMENT for demanding to put the VIP section behind the Gold.

It's a ROCK CONCERT. NOT A POP CONCERT. If you look at their concerts at other places, the nearest section to the stage is called MOSHPIT. Crowd surfing and all. This means people there knows the risks involved. Get hurt, get thrown out, suffocated and all. This is no Sarah Geronimo or Britney Spears concert that you can relax and sing along.

VIP section should be situated on a safe location but has a great view of the stage. That's the concern of the PARAMORE MANAGEMENT. SAFETY OF THE VIP. The LOCAL PRODUCERS GOT IT ALL WRONG thinking the VIP ON A ROCK CONCERT SHOULD BE IN FRONT. IF IT WAS HELD IN ARANETA COLISEUM, VIP SHOULD BE IN THE LOWERBOX AREA NOT ON THE FLOOR.

THE LOCAL PRODUCERS SHOULD HAVE NOT SOLD VIP TICKETS AT ALL DUE TO THE VENUE THAT IS MOA CONCERT GROUNDS. IT SHOULD HAVE JUST BEEN GOLD SILVER BRONZE AS ADVERTISED ON POSTERS etc. WITH A DISCLAIMER ABOUT SAFETY RISKS REGARDING THE PEOPLE CLOSEST TO THE STAGE. IT WILL BE AT THE FAN'S OWN DISCRETION TO WHICH TICKET TO PURCHASE.

THIS IS NO AKON CONCERT. THIS IS PARAMORE. A ROCK BAND THAT PERFORMS THROUGH THE ENERGY GIVEN BY THE CROWD.

SCREW THE LOCAL PRODUCERS. They didn't communicate well with the Paramore Management. And Kudos to the Paramore Management for thinking first about the safety of their fans.

SCREW MMI OR WHOEVER PRODUCED THE SHOW. You know it may be a scam as well, they didn't put VIP tickets on the advertisements. Nor even a disclaimer about the risks in safety. THEY PROBABLY DECIDED TO SELL THOSE TICKETS MEANT FOR "SPONSORS" so they can cash-in from their expenses in acquiring Paramore to perform here.

BAD MANAGEMENT BY THE LOCAL PROD.

So, don't blame the Paramore management. Hayley should know about this melee.

SILVER AND BRONZE ENJOYED THE SHOW!

DEMAND FULL REFUND FOR THE VIPs!

    ReplyDelete
  21. You wouldn't understand not until you put yourself into our shoes.

We paid for something that was told that we will get but didn't. So we should be given a refund!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Clarification: WE ARE NOT BLAMING THE PARAMORE PRODUCTION OR TOURMANGLER OR WHOEVER. IT WAS A GREAT SHOW EXCEPT OTHER PEOPLE ENJOYED OUR FRONTLINE SPACE WE PAID FOR THANKS TO THE LOCAL PRODUCTION. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

    Rather we are saying:

    1. We paid for front line space and we were not given priority access to what we paid for.

    2. Those who paid for back seats got our seats/stands, whatever. Instead of having reserved space, it became first come first serve basis.

    3. I've been pasting this everywhere, sorry but we really just cant understand. Fine they threatened them or assumed that we're all some sort of rich snotty people who need protection. Couldn't they have explained that , that was not the case? That the only point of VIP was proximity? Its kind of pathetic if this whole mix up was a product of mismatched terms.

Or whatever the problem was, they could have done something. There were ways of properly funnelling people in. They could've waited in the VIP lanes, ushered the vip holders to the front. They had so much security personnel, they could've pulled that off. If they were worried about the audience not looking packed they could've filled in the extra space with gold ticket holders AFTER all the VIPS were properly in place. Then they wouldn't have angry VIPS and instead upgraded happy gold ticket holders. PRIORITY. THAT WAS WHAT THE EXTRA 6k WAS FOR. I bought front line tickets and I WAS AT THE SOUND BOOTH. SOUND BOOTH. my pinky was larger than Hayley for crying out loud.

I don't care if gold ticket holders were there as long as I was in my seat. I mean hey congratulations guys you were lucky. What pisses me off is that Gold got the same priority as VIP. Same level of access to the front when what they paid for were back seats.

CMON PEOPLE, don't even bring back the blame on us. WE FRICKING LOST MONEY and its not 100 bucks. ITS 6k per ticket (multiply to the X number of tickets we bought). We've been talking about this in private and they wont issue refunds. What do you want us to do??? Sleep it off?? hug our free tshirts and imagine its hayley?? IF There is something to fear, its fear that MMI will not be handling the next paramore concert.

OK why not have a meeting with all the VIP holders OFF LINE and let's settle this if you want it in private.

  33. all i can say is that without any of you know someone or a relative with a position in the government the decision of just a bullshit t-shirt, a picture with an autograph is all you will get. i already checked the others site's with relation with refund and guess what "no such page is found", evidence that what you guys are fighting against will do anything to cover-up the incident, so i suggest that you get the media on your side. and if you are lucky enough to have a official by your side complaining about that incident (the son/daughter was in the concert bought a 10k ticket to only realize that he will soon be crushed by the gold ticket holders that kind of situation) then you my have a shot at really getting what is right, guys good luck to all of you!! hope all of you could get your refund

    ReplyDelete
  34. and just a simple though if you haven't know about it yet i heard that 800 was the count of all VIP's so 800 x 6,000 so 4.8 million pesos

    ReplyDelete
  35. i hope you guys take this legally, you were robbed. there's no one to blame but your sellers and if there was a mix up they should be the ones to lose money and not the customer. who will buy tickets from them now?

side comment lang, gold did not steal your spots ok? you didn't have spots. lol. as i entered a lady said gold and pointed to the front, then vip and pointed to the back. un lang. but shame on the organizers for selling clearly too many tickets for the venue. it was JAM packed throughout. i know there are safety regulations for how many people you put into an open area! why aren't they followed?

    ReplyDelete
  36. We did have a spot, it was in the ticket map. It was just switched last minute. But yeah, no blaming goldies here. :) anyway, Can we say meet offline or something with a lawyer or legal people?

  37. Poster who posted at March 13, 2010 11:13 PM

Theoretically, but the reality was expensively different. You guys should get organized, get your contact details, meet up and talk to someone. 6,000 each is a lot of money especially for students which I'm guessing most of the audience were. But 6,000 multiplied by all the people who bought the tickets? That's millions of Pesos. Don't let this go, you were scammed. VIP tickets meant proximity, simple as that.If they were concerned about security, barriers and 2 guards on either sides would have been sufficient. Last minute changes are bullshit. The management should've thought about how much you paid to be at the front before moving you to the back. OR if they cared so much about the VIP, how about a safe place to watch and MEET AND GREET IDs? Not a flipping tshirt and signed photo. Don't give up guys, get your money back.

    ReplyDelete
  38. There was clearly a mix-up as to what VIP stood for. If it was the traditional VIP in the sense that they needed extra space and whatnot, moving them back away from the moshpit was the best idea.
I'm assuming that wasn't the case here. VIP ticket holders wanted proximity regardless of the risks involved. I think they didn't mind getting stepped on if they were right next to the stage.
I think it was the ticket naming convention that started this mess. Next time the local producers sell front-row tickets, why not just name them FRONT-ROW TICKETS? To avoid all the misunderstanding. Buyers would know the risks of front-row spaces in rock concerts.
Checking the seatmap again, there's clearly a barrier between the gold section and a yellow-colored section right in front of the stage. Although that yellow section isn't labeled.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think this seat map could explain well: http://bit.ly/byh30f this was the latest seat map for the Paramore concert from Ticket World, where clearly VIP is FRONT ROW. I think yeah, it could've been terminologies, which when I think of it, is a pathetic cause for all this ruckus. Whatever it was, there was clearly a failure on their part to fulfill their service and we are deserving of a refund.

  40. and if VIP means having all that security they were saying, then why the hell do they have to give a xerox copy of the floor plan to their vip ticket buyers? clearly, VIP tickets means being the closest to the stage! and that's what they used to market the tickets!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I say we all meet and talk about this. I'm not letting this go.

    ReplyDelete
  42. the VIP safety thing is bullshit. they paid to be front row. added security would just mean barriers like the ones that separate gold and silver. don't tell me moa doesn't have extra barriers! with all the money they made from VIP they couldn't buy extra barriers to secure their space???

    to the vip ticket holders:

this is a serious matter. somewhat near just compensation would've been a meet and greet right after or even before the concert with ample time for light conversation and photos with the band.

wat they're offering is complete bull. wat would you do if you bought first class tickets and then last minute got switched to economy with just an extra blanket for compensation?

start drafting your official statements while it's still fresh in your mind like what was promised, who you contacted for tickets, when, how you paid, what happened when you got to the venue, what was said and done, your experience, any injuries, initial complaints and how they were dealt with, who responded, what did they say, what you want in return, full or partial refund, people who sold you tickets to lose their licenses/rights to organize such things etc. try not to exaggerate anything, just give the facts, and in a cool calm tone. angry letters are not well received. plus make it clear who you blame and who you want compensation from.

set up an email account, get on skype or yahoo messenger and decide on when and how to take legal action. you guys are the rich ones, i'm sure you have connections to lawyers or something. better start now.

  43. d question now is, may kapit ba inside the government or media?

  44. I agree, time is running out. Let's not wait for this issue to slowly die. Guys, please spread the word to popular bloggers in the country. I already contacted Cecile from chuvaness.livejournal.com and she said she will ask them for a statement.

If we do not get a response within this week or the next, I am game with meeting up with everyone and maybe filing a lawsuit. At this point my rage is not even with the 6k that we all lost. I am seriously angered by how they are dealing with the situation. How they had the nerve to ask the other bloggers to close down their sites. I'm also very disappointed that they have done so. Please, let's not allow them to get away with this. Or else this will probably happen again in the future.

  45. My problem is I bought the tickets from a friend who knew someone who had complimentary tix - so it's hard to complain. But we were shortchanged! The sponsors were cheated also as the value of the ticket was not what they originally agreed on (costing was at 10k, yet it was less than 3900 in actuality, even they should complain!) Strange that the organizers and paramore's group didn't have an agreed floor plan prior to selling of tix? That's very unusual, it's one of the basics of organizing an event! If they had an agreed floorplan, then they couldn't possibly change it - so either stupid ang organizers (for failing to finalize a floor plan prior to the event -WTF?!) or they purposely did it to cheat sponsors of millions, banking on the fact that only a handful will complain..this should be looked into.

And guys don't be afraid that Paramore won't come back -- they're not mad at us and they had fun here. If the price is right, they'll come back. Plus none of us fans are mad at paramore for them to fear coming back diba? Just cause the organizers gave you complimentary tickets to watch, you take away your blogs about it - just shows that you 'settled' with them. Scared that Paramore won't come back? B_llSh_t! SOrry guys

  46. of course paramore will come back! i think at this point it is the seller of the tickets at fault for selling tickets without securing the deal. and your friend is a cheap skate for selling free tickets.

  47. What do you guys have in mind? I'm only a student and not familiar with situations like this. I'm no way rich, I'm just a really big fan who saved my allowances and christmas money to afford a VIP ticket. ...oh man. (sigh)

  48. sabi ng friend ko magsend daw muna ng demand letter, then depende sa isasagot nila kung gusto natin ituloy.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I want a refund which I don't think they're even considering. Or at least something worth the money we spent and not bunch of craps.

    ReplyDelete
  50. for them to take the demand letter seriously, you have to have a legal representative write it. it should include what you want, and what you will do if you don't get it. if you don't have a lawyer they won't pay any attention to it.

  63. Hi, can I ask... are there any updates here? My friend already got her 5 signed photos from Charlemagne and a signed shirt as well. But my friend was one of the people who got a meet and greet pass for Paramore. So I think the only people who received the pictures and shirt are those who were able to meet and greet the band.
